It's nice to see that Crunchyroll are still doing LA dubs, I assume it's LA.

About time this came out!
as for the first comment... last I remember... Aniplex is the one that owns this series... so they made the decision on who dubs it.... and I think if I remember... all of Aniplex series that get dubbed are Union dubs with Sag AFTRA. Just because they are owned by Sony along with Crunchyroll and Funimation does not mean they are not independent enough to make their own decisions on how they want to get the series dubbed.

Not too familiar with Ben Diskin's anime and video game voice over works, but I really liked his roles in Nickelodeon's Hey Arnold! and Cartoon Network's Codename: Kids Next Door.
May have to check out the English dub of Mashle sometime.

The show belongs to Aniplex of America, not Crunchyroll.

This is correct! But many people are getting it that Sony owns Aniplex, Crunchyroll, and Funimation, so they keep speaking as though this would be a Sony decision for most dubs happen in Texas studios which do all of their dubs under non-union contracts which many people don’t like.

Nice to see a prominent LA dub again! This looks like a really fun cast!

I’m assuming they are learning their lesson following the Mob Psycho debacle, especially now with the WGA strike hammering home the importance of workers unions in the media industry.

Nah I highly doubt the lesson from Pyscho Mob and the WGA strike would change things especially with a Texas company where a good chunk of Texans like myself are not fans of Unions…
Don’t get the wrong there are good unions out there… but there are a lot of bad ones to! And I for one was struck with not one.. but 2 jobs in a role where the union was absolute garbage and hardly supported us! I have since refused to work for any company that has a union… I had the mindset now that if an employer is bad enough to their employees where they ended up going union to get the representation they needed… then it’s not a company I need to work at or for… happily I have since only worked at said companies that did look out for us to where I don’t see a need for a union and I am happy for it!
So yeah a little back story of my life.. but you can see how I will most of the time frown on anything that involves unions.. but I am cool with Sag AFTRA and what they are trying to help support the VAs that have had bad representation for some of these companies… which is why I am for the flexibility of having both non Union and union contracts for the VAs out there.
Edit:
Now that I think about it more and remember… I think the only Union jobs I will ever work at… are the companies that had unions by choice from the start of when the company went into business… Example: Train companies like Union Pacific, LTL (Less than Truckload) logistic companies like UPS, YRC (Yellow)… these are to name a few.. these would probably most likely be the only companies I am willing to work for now that has a Union.
