Yeah, that's kind of a problem I've been having with The Ice Guy. I can remember one episode where they sort of focused on it, but other than that... nah.

Because no one wants to see actual boring office work or be reminded of the realities of such tasks. There's nothing nostalgic or free about it like school, but that doesn't mean there aren't aspects of this setting that can't be presented for service. The people who pick this up just want some nice escapism, feeling a little bit of a connection, and above all a story about a cute office lady heroine fitting to their fetish.

I don't think anybody was asking why people like workplace romance, it was more about wishing for design and premise variety.

Yeah, but that's the reason why said aspects are likely irrelevant to the author and main readers because it's not its aim. It just comes down to demographic after all.
