Lucky Star was one of my all-time favorite anime.

Well that is interesting. I wonder if Konata is still an otaku or an ordinary working girl who grew out of her Otaku habits?

I highly doubt there would be any interesting story to tell if they removed her one defining trait...

Hard to even imagine... did she marry Kagami and became a NEET? Founded a Vtuber company and monopolized the space? Took over the Akiba cafe and made the brand a worldwide franchise? Became a game developer, died from overworking, and then reincarnated inside the game she was working in? That last one makes the most sense to me.
Also, somewhat of a rarity, right? I thought everyday life comedy school girls were eternally locked pre-graduation days.

I dunno. I can see a few interesting directions things could go from there. A story about her re-discovering the otaku lifestyle and why she grew out of it in the first place?

This makes me feel old, but I want to see the cast 15 years later.

Imagine Konata having iPhone 14 that plays gacha games, regularly plays Switch, joins in competitive matches on Steam, online shopping for new mercs, and regularly watch anime streams on Netflix. I know she can easily adapt new trends as much as she did before.

This is great and I'm excited to see Konaka grow up with me, but don't expect her to look any older with that art style anyway. =P

What about Azumanga Daioh’s Chiyo-chan at 34? Well, I guess she’d have passed through her cute mascot phase and would just be a normal adult.

This will either be really good or really bad. I can't imagine it landing anywhere in-between.

Has adult Konata solved the chocolate cornet problem yet, I wonder?

Having learned about Lucky Star 10 years ago, I'm gonna look forward to seeing what a grown-up Konata would be like
