He was ubiquitous in his time, and he approached his work journalistically. He was an absolute professional and cosplayers were proud to be archived on his site.

So sorry to hear of Kevin's passing. His photobooth was a fixture at cons in the '00s, and in the days before phone cameras, his pictures were often the only ones we had of our costumes. I used to run into him at classic car shows, too (we lived in the same city) and would always say hi to him.

He will always be remembered as an anime fandom icon who blurred the line between perfectionism and passion and took it to new heights.

It was always a joy to see and talk to him at cons. At one Fanime he told me that he was flying that evening to another con and had been to one before Fanime.
