Didn't really enjoy the manga but maybe I'll like it in 5 minute a week anime form

Unfortunately, due to how TV Tokyo has removed a lot of their day time slots, a lot of their All Ages/General Audience programming is airing late night now (see: Tokyo Mew Mew New, which even had full furigana for younger kids to be able to read) and really it's happening as a whole elsewhere. The only saving grace is most kids and teens are more likely to record and watch stuff later, so that may be the logic by the network here, as they likely see live numbers less important as they once were. That and with rise of On Demand and Streaming, it's probably less neccassary as it once was.
The important thing is that the audience intended to watch it knows where to watch it, where to record it, where to watch it on demand and/or stream it on, which TV Tokyo when they aired Captain Tsubasa's remake a few years back, they were running a ton of ads during the day, promoting it. I imagine the network will run ads during the day during various programming and there'll be advertisements elsewhere where people will see it.
It's really weird to see this, but it's partially the reality of less live numbers as there once used to be, versus numbers added to by DVRing, On Demand, and Streaming, being generally more important.

Man, someone mentioned that Kamikaze Douga shoudl adapt this with the same energy as Pop Team Epic and somehow I feel like that would have been a match made in heaven. Nice to see Gallop doing something after losing Yugioh at least.

Probably just a combination of the humor not really clicking with me and making the mistake of trying to binge a gag manga. I don't hold anything against the series itself though. My thought is that animated and being able to follow it new weekly will let me enjoy it more

They always were, they had been doing outsource work for Toei for a while, including for a majority of Digimon 2020 & Ghost Game.

Some of the humor is a bit esoteric and just gets lost when translated into other languages. For example, the volume 1 cover art being a parody of Doraemon's vol. 1 cover art, as well as the premise having a few similarities to the latter series, clicks instantly with Japanese audiences, but not so much with audiences in the core Anglosphere since many people in those parts of the world don't know and/or don't care about Doraemon.
I also feel like Me & Roboco will be more enjoyable in animated form. The pacing and some of the jokes might play out better when animated with voices, sound effects, and music.

Directed by Akitarou Daichi, though! That guy has done some gag comedies in the same vein, he knows his stuff.
