Man, he's going to make me cry again, isn't he? EVERY SINGLE FILM THIS GUY MAKES HAS MADE ME CRY!! HARD!!
Except for Fireflies.
I'm not a movie-crier, really, but something this guy does, I swear...

I would love to see "The Whale Hunt" to see just what attitude it has in light of all the globle controversy about Japan's actual whaling policy.

Only when they pulled their scrotum over their heads.

Correct. Because I am unmoved by children dying horribly.

Oh god, did it. That sequence near the end when they give up on their crusade and decide to all use their powers to make their Tokyo suburb back into the countryside one last time reduces me to a complete mess every single time.
Heck, My Neighbors the Yamadas made me cry. (Namely the sequence that begins with the wedding cake bobsled, throughout the ensuing narration and lyrical fantasy visuals.)
What can I say? I'm a complete sucker for nostalgia and wistfulness.
No need to say it, I gots issues.

Correct. Because I am unmoved by children dying horribly. |
Uh, care to explain that? I'm pretty sure children dying horribly is sad.

I'm being sarcastic. But although sad, it didn't make me cry.
Psychoanalysis is ongoing.

I was completely happy for the news until I read Goro's name near Isao Takahata's...

In a strange way it did make me cry, the loss of a way of life, fighting someone (mankind) that doesn't care did make me cry a bit...
