Wouldn't have done much considering the announcement was done over this very same volume cover. It's the vol cover with 500M in circulation on the bottom left corner-ish of it. |

All the one piece fans still identify this new form as Gear 5, even Oda him self reffered to this as gear 5 during his Interview with Gosho Aoyama but we all know its some what false. That is just a fancy name that luffy comes up with when he can't explain the power upgrade.
If it has not been obvous till now, its all about spoiler[his Nika Fruit awakening and his fruit has been going through so many different evolutionary cycles since he recieved the Mythical fruit in the story. Its ok to refer to it as gear 5. How ever its not like Gear abilities exist in one piece but I digress.
