Uh oh. A bunch of minor characters going to be in danger... Given what happened in the newest Sword Oratoria event in the mobile game I'm worried.

They're definitely adapting vols 12-14 if they can spoiler[summarize vol 12] in a 2-minute video.

It's nice to see the gang again and seeing them make progress on their personal journey.

Bell has had more success picking up monster girls in a dungeon than he has normal girls. Also of course it's a mermaid because...boobs.

I was dissapointed by seasons 2 and 3, but I am weirdly excited for season 4.

Interesting that the preview only shows scenes from volume 12. They're playing coy with developments past that.

I've seen one recent Twitter indicator that this season will be 22 episodes. Not sure how reliable that source is, but if true then I'm now very curious about how much will be covered, as spending that many episodes on only novels 12-14 would be glacial pacing by series standards. (Vol. 14 is the franchise's longest on page count, but 12-13 are normal-length.) I suppose they could do 15 as well, but that wouldn't make for a good series finish point.

Well the trailer showed a scene from one of vol 8's short stories so we're definitely getting at least 1 episode or part of it from there. Also vol 18 apparently comes out in Winter so its possible for it to be a split cour if they intend to adapt the spoiler[ongoing Freya arc]

One of my favorite series and I'm happy to see the animation quality is still top-notch. So looking forward to this!

I noticed that scene but I think the show is just introducing them before the expedition rather than adapting that short from vol 8

Oh, you two mean the elf and the dwarf? (I don't think we need to be dodgy about mentioning them since they are brought up in this article.) Yes, I will be curious to see how the anime handles them, although I don't think the short story in question needs to be adapted in order to explain them.

(For anime-only viewers, the elf and dwarf are first introduced during one of the vol. 8 short stories that was skipped over and then appear again in vol. 12's story.)

Oh, those two guys. Yeah, I remember them from the mobile game when it adapted volume 8.

Definitely great to see it back, but a little annoying to see the late start which probably means a shorter episode count. Though if it is 2 cours, then that would be just fine lol
