I'm personally waiting for the new dog Pokémon. There's always a new one in every gen. Rockruff and Yamper were surefire locks for my teams when I first saw them. I wonder if the non-linear format implies they won't have gyms?

Street Fighter 6: I didn't think they would, but Capcom won me over. The hip-hop stylings plus RE Engine is right up my alley; Capcom putting the street back in Street Fighter and I'm all about it. Also, they actually show off a lot in this trailer as far as gameplay / mechanics go and the website has a full breakdown of everything. Personally, I think it all sounds very promising and Capcom seems to be leaning into everything that defines the franchise for fans hence why he have Focus Attacks AND Parries, etc. Lastly, while nothing has been said yet I'm convinced they are hinting at 2v2: why else would a big "VS" sign show up above Ryu & Chun-Li?
Final Fantasy XVI: I am ridiculously excited for this. I'm very happy that not only are we going back to a high fantasy setting but also the concept of summons, "Dominants" this time around, essentially being WMD's. Also, have you seen the pedigree of the dev team? It is insane! Sonic Frontiers: I'm cautiously optimistic. To me, it looks like the dev team has some good ideas when it comes to solving basic 3D Sonic design problems. I like that Sonic is smaller so that we can have larger, more expansive environments. But more importantly, it looks as though that combined with Sonic's default run speed is a goldilocks medium between "gotta go fast" and being able to recognize and react to what's in front of you without having to memorize. Also, I need to see more specifics on Sonic's traversal options cause they should be robust. Looking forward to seeing more. RE4 Remake: The clock is officially ticking on the time I have to get a PS5. Stray: Really looking forward to this one too! You gotta be able to customize the cat, right? Overall, was really shocked by the State of Play. I went in expecting nothing and Sony came out swinging! Last edited by TranceLimit174 on Fri Jun 03, 2022 9:50 am; edited 1 time in total |

Got to admit, the Street Fighter stuff I saw this week actually looks very interesting. I will probably be paying more attention to it going forward.
With that said, I am super excited for the upcoming Pokemon game. I have been really enjoying the stuff coming out and the approach being taken for the new game looks great. Can’t wait to see more and play it! |

I'm In the camp that finds a remake to 4,being unnecessary. I do really like the change of going from action schlock to pure horror with it.Besides that,The Callisto Protocol looks fantastic and the new FFXVI trailer looked great. Really good show from Sony.

Pokemon and time travel don't mix, thankfully, I don't play Pokemon for the story. Anyway Scarlet it is as long as Swablu isn't exclusive to Violet.

LECHONK
What a name. I want to roll the little fellow like a bowling ball. I wonder if I'll pick this one up, given that I skipped USUM and Sw/Sh. Congrats to Venonat, FWIW. |

I’m embarrassed to admit I thought this a new Marvel vs Capcom game at first when they first showed the trailer. So the idea of this game having 2v2 combat definitely isn’t out there.
You are irrationally angry about this. You really thought they were going to retroactively go back and remaster that game like they did the 2nd and 3rd? Would you had even wanted them to considering how those remasters look very much like cheap mobile games. Also while the original art is nice you know that art was not going to be used in the game proper it’s like CastleVania fans who complain about the series moving away from Ayami Kojima’s character design which was generally not used for much in game outside of portraits. |

- Sonic Frontiers: the open-world gameplay does feel empty and the artstyle is to far removed from what Sonic games usually look like, it really feels like SEGA is trying to do a BotW with Sonic in it. I've heard some rumors that there're going to be separate levels more akin to Sonic Unleashed. I'm also quite surprised that SEGA is planning to release the game on the Switch, it already looks like they're having some technical problems with more powerful hardware, it would be ironic if the games ends up selling better on Switch, like some previous Sonic games, but is a technical mess. Also, I saw some people making fun of IGN staff because their gameplay footage looked like they didn't know how to play, but an IGN writer said the game footage was played by SEGA employees, I know IGN and the Sonic fanbase are not in the best terms after the controversial "Sonic was never good" quote but that's no reason to make fun of them, IGN even said that there still a lot of unseen stuff that looks promising.
- FFXVI: I'm glad the game has medieval fantasy style, though I wish SE would make at least an spin-off that played like the classic turn-based games, not another game series like Bravely Default or Octopath. - RE4 Remake: Capcom should include content from the prototype version. Also I hope the Ganados speak in actual European Spanish instead of those actors from Los Angeles that Capcom hired for the original game. |

If you mean the UI, then yes, it uses the same UI that Re:Universe, the mobile game, uses, but I think it's adequate. If you mean the graphics themselves, then no, they look exactly like the SNES versions do, only in hi-def. Romancing SaGa 3 looks perfect sprite-wise and background-wise. Hoping for a 2.5 HD remake was a bit much I'll agree, but I would have liked a 2D remaster to complete the trilogy out. Minstrel Song is fine too, even though I also agree the chibi graphics aren't my cup of tea. As far as Sif goes though, you can't beat re;Universe's art. |

Very excited for Minstrel's Song; very ambivalent about FFXVI. If childhood-me could see that sentence... they'd never believe it.
(Not that the game looks bad or anything, it just doesn't look like anything recognizably FF--seems way closer to something like Devil May Cry.) Last edited by Fluwm on Sun Jun 05, 2022 12:53 am; edited 1 time in total |

The young girl who Chun Li gently boops on the back of the head is almost certainly her daughter, Li-Feng, previously seen in Street Fighter 3 and Street Fighter 5.

-RE4: Oh great, let's take the campy, tongue-in-cheek game and play "straight." Not really feeling this
-SF6: Thank god they didn't go for a "realistic" style like rumors claimed as that would have been a disaster. And true to form, a lot of the roster leaked so we'll be having fun with that. -FFXVI: To be honest, I'm glad this game picked a damn lane for its combat system because the "sorta real-time but not really" hybrid systems they'd been using are a mess. Be Dragon Quest or be Devil May Cry, waffling on it just creates a grinding of gears. Another thing I find interesting is this is the first mainline entry to go into pure medieval fantasy instead of the steampunk/Magitek flair the series has had since its inception. It's something new and not an angle the series has really tried before. That lack of experimentation with gameplay and themes has really made the series stagnate (not helped by having the same creative team over and over) and it's about time they gave it to someone else to try a new angle. Looking forward to it. -Pokemon: LeChonk. That is all |

More so the UI but things like the backgrounds and game world looked a bit too….clean and fake. The Live A Live remaster is basically what the games could have and should have looked like.
If we have less things like Salazar & Leon talking about being brothers. Or Leon screaming Mike (a character we were never told about beforehand dying in the same scene he’s introduced) I’d be cool with that. That same camp is how we get things like bad voice acting, people punching rocks, or making jokes about people being turned into sandwiches. |

You mentioned all these things as if their bad things This is the same series that started with a hilariously bad live-action sequence. It's not like the series didn't have tons of cornball moments before 4. |
