Fuse and Aho Girl are getting limited print runs. Anyway, only one more FUNimation Lupin left, plus a hopeful re-release of Fuma on BD.

Planet With was a particular standout for me in its year of release, and there's something appropriate about it being licensed right now (even if suspicions the Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer anime won't be nearly as impressive might weigh on everything), so I was pleased to see that announcement. On the other hand, Symphogear AXZ being announced so soon after Symphogear GX was kind of a relief, especially given the fourth Symphogear series hadn't been officially streamed, so I was also pleased to see that announcement. On the other hand again, I've managed to see Phantom Flying Ship myself, and it just about transcends "when it was made," so that's a third announcement I was quite pleased to see.

You can always count on Discotek to get a combination of “hey, what’s that?” and “hey, I remember that!” And I mean that in the best possible way.

I'm shocked to see "Flying Phantom Ship" on there. I LOVE that movie! I almost thought that I was the only one that knew it existed.

Why is Beelzebub, an Anime from 2011, getting a SD-BD? I'm pretty sure Anime was being made in HD by then.

This series was made in SD. It indeed got a Japanese Blu-ray release, but the episodes were simply upscales.

Also Green Vs. Red with a dub.....as much as that OVA sucked, it did win their poll.

Yeah, this is interesting because at least with Reborn & Bleach, there were issues with those masters and for those who own Viz's Blu-rays for the latter, the switch to 16:9 did a lot worse for those releases.

Beelzebub was DVD-only in Japan but the streams on Crunchyroll go up to 1080p.

The show got a HD Blu-ray release in France, does anyone know how those turned out?

I'll definitely be picking up Symphogear (still waiting for the 3rd season to get listed btw...) and Aho-Girl (what's with the limited release? :/ ) and maybe Beelzebub

Nothing there for me this time, but happy for fans of these shows. Especially Virtua Fighter. I remember people being super upset that Anime Works' original release was never completed. I was just thinking recently about what a good pick-up it would be for DiscoTek.

I feel like Discotek's losing money with several licenses, especially with some Crunchyroll sublicenses. They thought it was for the best. Somehow, it also affected some TMS licenses too like Heart and Yummie (for some reason) and Fusé.

I woke up to three separate people alerting me that Discotek had licensed Planet With. I'd say I screamed, but I was so overcome with joy all I could do was make weird squeaks until I could get enough words out to tell my husband.

No, I am not exaggerating. I love Planet With that much.
