Seriously? This show looked bad enough to the point that James said it was worse than a mild case of COVID, and now they’re hurting the environment?

Anyone who is so stupid to buy this should be locked up and be treated for insanity.

Ha, ha, ha, ha..... NO.
Everything about NTF is a scam, a waste of money and harms the environment.

The only "ragging" I saw was from James Beckett and his readers. Otherwise the reception to the series was overall positive. It was pretty popular on streaming services and got a season 2 announcement after all. It seems like just another similar Yashahime case of one guy with a platform really dislikes and tries to meme on it but otherwise most people actually like it and doesn't speak for the vast majority of the anime community who view it as successful.

Really? On MAL, so not related to ANN or any reviews here, it is #40 in popularity out of 47 shows with enough ratings to not be rated as N/A for the entire Fall 2021 season. It's rated worse than Platinum end even. I don't think it's "Just the opinions of people reading James Beckett's reviews."

Yes, there were those very few here that didn't think it totally stank but I think I can say as the lone Positive Reviewer for FoE that it was darned-near impossible to find anything good to say about it week to week and people found James' reviewers vastly more entertaining than the show itself. Wasn't the worst ever but wasn't "good" either...
Now about that Saria Fruit pictured, never eat something with a face, especially when the only part of said face present is a mondo-lipped mouth with tusks at the corner! Getting real...

Not true in two ways, firstly, Fruit of Evolution was widely viewed as bad. And secondly, most Inuyasha fans either hated Yashahime or didn't even bother watching it after they heard it was bad. For the most part, the only people who were really into the show were the people whose favorite pairing the show made canon.

It's always interesting seeing how different NFTs are viewed between the west and the rest of the world. In Japan they're just another form of merchandising. In the west they became some kind of culture war battleground somehow. I know they still exist in the west, but I never really see Japanese artists and actors getting harassed for them I do American ones.

I'm against harassing anyone anyway. You can call out someone politely but malicious behavior crosses a line.
My problem with NFTs is they hurt the environment. If that weren't a factor I still wouldn't buy one (and think they're a silly concept) but I wouldn't be speaking against them either.
