News about this spin off series has been around for years, but only now I realized they've hardly announnced anything about the cast.

Once again, still have mixed feelings about how it's part of an app instead of its own series.

People need to realize sunrise will never make a full sequel anime of an au if it isnt at least successful as cosmic era. This is why it s kind of pointless to be still be buying ibo, 00 and wing kits. These shows aint coming back, they are dead and best let them die. You are better off using the money to buy merch of a show you want future seasons of from kadokawa, aniplex, toho, etc.
Also any gacha game by bandai namco will probably die in a few years. They constantly slit the throat of older games to cash in on new ones. They are regarded by the tcg and gacha communities as the worst gaming company.

I assumed the main character would be spoiler[Akatsuki, Mikazukis child from the end of Orphans since it looks like him but I guess not?]

lol, we buy kits because we like the models. Not because we think it'll somehow lead to new media projects, let alone full-length sequel series.
