I'm hoping for a great film, but I'm glad it's not required viewing. Hopefully it does well and we get a 3rd season =)

An original, plot relevant, new girl? Must be an anime movie.
Wasn't expecting Benimaru to have a big role, although I feel like the character he's connected with looks a little too much like him.

Konosuba's story arcs are usually accomplished in the span of a single novel volume and the content the movie skipped had no effect on the story of the arc so it worked. On the other hand, that can be a bit hard to pull off for Tensura. Assuming the movie lasts for 90 mins with no wasted time on a story recap, I don't think there's an arc that can be properly covered in that span of time.

So this is non-canon to the novels but still canon in a way since Fuse wrote the script?
