Didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I do, but here we go.
Glad for author, good adaptation brings in more new readers.

Put it in the "having a very pretty adaptation does wonders in getting a larger audience" pile with the likes of Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen. Marin and Gojo being very cute helps too of course.

Considering how much the anime has blown up (and Marin especially), this does not surprise me.

I'm happy to see this but not surprised since Cloverworks is doing such a fantastic job with the quality of the anime.

A clarification for the misinformation spreading out there: The manga didn't actually sell 3.5 million before January 2021, it had 3.5 million in circulation. After all, if all 3.5 million in circulation were already sold, there would be no copies in any bookstore in Japan before the anime aired.
Likewise, the manga didn't sell one million in one month — the publisher simply released one million copies in one month.

More evidence that most anime is really an advertisement for higher profitability manga (and of course physical merchandise such at 1/7th scale ABS/PVC character figures for $200 and up)?

As a fan of the manga before the anime was even announced, this makes me smile. I'm glad it's getting more publicity and people checking it out.

I'm just waiting for volume five of the manga in English. It has been seven months already.

Oh, good news -- I mean, not surprising, as so many folks have said, but seems like it's a deserving publication. The show hasn't wow'd me yet, but I have been rather enjoying it. Will take a million more copies of it over most seasonal fare.
