If her body was cremated just 3 days after her death, I am not sure if this gave doctors a chance to do a full body autopsy to investigate. We can probably expect no more news regarding to Kanda's death for privacy and to avoid bringing up the topic of suicide to Japan. So it is likely safe to say she took her own life.

If follow up on Japanese news, her cause of death and how the police suspected she died was revealed. Her agency has not wanted to publicize it further, though.
