Supposedly Shinichi Omata is a pseudonym used by Mamoru Hatakeyama, the director of Shōwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjū. However, I can't seem to find an attribution for this on the Encyclopedia page...
Looking at the list, I'm guessing it is a pseudonym for Shinichi Omata the storyboard artist. There are also credits for a hentai producer named Shinichi Omata, though; can anyone point to a source that clarifies on this issue? |

The hentai producer's credits are the exact same kanji. This wiki at least claims they are the same person, including Hatakeyama as a pseudonym later (but no source on where the connection was confirmed). Also shows some non-18+ titles (not yet listed on ANN) that he worked on as production person in the 90s: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Super Atragon, Giant Robo, and Princess Nine. |
