I thought this was teal jacket Lupin from the visual, but that's definitely green. Makes sense for a 50th anniversary project.
That does look really good. If Sentai only got one big show for a season, this was the one to get. |

Monkey Punch rarely got involved with the Lupin anime stuff and his death hasn't really affected how the franchise is being handled that much since it has become its own thing long ago(his characters rarely get to be according to his original vision so they could be more family friendly and heroic. That's why he supposedly didn't like Castle of Cagliostro as a Lupin movie, for example) |

Monkey Punch had barely, if any, involvement in the animated Lupin shows and features. |

Except for dead or alive. He personally directed that one. And it is one of the darkest Lupin stories because of it. |

^ By his own admission his involvement in "Dead or Alive" was a last resort and the other members of the staff helped him out immensely. There's an interview from 2003.
He co directed an OVA 3-4 years ago but I suspect he was pretty hands off. |

I actually recall a quote from him saying it was his favorite anime adaption. Even though it was different from his original vision, he felt it captured the free spirit of the characters. There were a decent amount of other mistranslated quotes from the gentleman in his time. But yea, MP didn’t have direct involvement in most of the anime adaptions so his passing doesn’t affect new releases. He was pretty much content with TMS doing their thing, he was a super chill guy. God rest his soul. |

now the question is Will Part 6 getting an english dub ( Simuldub/DUBCAST) With Tony Oliver, R. Epcar and gang's ? Sentai announce that they will license it and distribute the home media but they not mention it will get dubbed

Consodering Richard Epcar tweeted it when it was announced to be under a new studio, I think it will be fine. After all, the Part 4 dub cast was first in Geneon's part 2. This would be there third studio change(minus zenigata being recast). |

You would have to really be dedicated to the role to fly out to Huston and stay in an accommodation out of your own pocket for none-union pay. Unless TMS is funding the dub I guess. |

I hope not. Strait and the rest were pretty mediocre in those roles. Though Strait did show a little improvement in The Woman Called Fujiko Mine. |
