I am honestly not surprised. I just want S2 to drop as soon as possible. This wait is painful.

It probably won't break a billion at the box office but those are still mighty impressive numbers. Its only a matter of time before other arcs are adapted into films (I can only see this happening with how much money Mugen Train made). Shueisha will want to ride the hype train all the way to the end so expect a new film announcement shortly after the upcoming series finishes airing later this year.

They already announced Season 2. The arc after season 2 also relatively long, too long to adapt into a movie, same with the last arc. It just has too much content to scram into a movie, even 2 or 3 movies aren't enough.
