...oh, oh good, it was actually announced. I was getting confused by how Twitter has been clogged up with prayers for and speculation about Part 6, I kept thinking it was announced and then not a few times before this...

An adaptation 21 years in the making has at last arrived. Now the JoJo fandom has only one white whale left, Steel Ball Run. Who would have thought such a day would come back in 2011...

Notably absent is any confirmation of if its still David, when looking back at Part 5s announcement they made sure to say it was David animating it. This worries me.

YES YES YES ( and yes, this is intended to be a Jojo reference Cool )

I have hope that part 6 may receive better than expected reception at least in Western fandom, consider, well, it’s literally taking place in Florida; and, our heroine kicks a supreme amount of butt, it’s awesome!

Although how ironic that part 6 reflects our perception on policemen pretty accurately and that portrayal ages pretty well too

There's nothing suggesting that David Pro isn't animating this.

Jotaro is jolyne's father.

And, Ai Fairouz has an Egyptian father.

This simple fact is somewhat off-putting.

Wonderful, I was starting to think it wasn't going to happen. So this marks the end of a timeline and then the next part takes place in an alternate timeline?

I hope Viz get this and not Netflix. As i want to watch it on Crunchyroll.

Not the best part and I wouldn´t be surprised if this was Covid casualty as the studio is still busy and there isn´t much know so far on top of that but the original timeline will soon conclude. Soon Tm and the anime turns 10 next year.

They need to license Louis Armstrong´s What a wonderful world for the finale and Virtual Insanity could work as the 2nd END.

This will also be a nice excuse to get 2 or so further Rohan OVAs. Let´s hope.
I also don´t hold out hope for Parts 7 and 8. Both would need a full year of airtime, not that I know when Part 8 will finish, and Part 7 would be kinda expensive to animate unless they go with CG horses. Then we have the niche western setting, the mostly dark tones for both of the Seinen parts and neither are part of the Shounen Jump brand. And who even knows if an anime about killing the US president would cause drama or not... More Rohan is all there is I think.

What Araki had to say:

Theatrical debut confirmed?

Good for fans but it's a pity that Miyuki Sawashiro, who voiced Jolyne in the game version, won't be voiced Jolyne in the anime version. (She's not voiced much on animes nowadays).

Now comes the question on who gets it here because with what happened with Rohan, there's a good chance it will join Netflix Jail.

Crunchyroll already has the rights to the main series so it shouldn't be an issue. The Rohan OVA's were its own separate thing from my understanding.
