Great Pretender: 12 nominations
Eizouken:11 Jujutsu Kaisen:10 BEASTARS: 9 Dorohedoro: 6 ..... Appare-ranman: One Even as someone who liked Appare, it feels almost cruel to nominate it alongside those other five shows. As if they picked those five first, and then randomly drew Appare's title from a hat to fill the sixth slot. |

Jujutsu Kaisen shouldn’t really be nominated for Anime of the Year. The show hasn’t even finished yet! Would be better to include it in next year’s (if it does happen) nominations

I'm glad to see Beastars get the recognition it deserves after missing out last year due to the technicalities of Netflix sitting on anime for months. |

I'd be more interested in the chinese version of such awards, I presume bilibili would be outlet to make ones.
At the end of the day China is the big big big player, what's popular there counts, I wouldn't be surprised if some isekai scores the anime of the year there. |

Catarina and Maria seems like a weird nomination for best couple. I know people ship them, and Maria obviously likes Catarina, but her feelings seem pretty one-sided for the moment, and it's really up in the air who Catarina will end up with, if anyone (based solely on the anime, at least).
It just kind of seems like the category should be for, if not actual couples, at least pairings where both parties have clear romantic feelings for each other. |

As long as Jujutsu Kaisen wins best ED and Kanamori wins best girl, I will be content (though Eizouken should really get best animation). Akudama Drive only having one nomination

Fairly same-y list, but overall some good choices (although Appare-Ranman in just AOTY is super weird).
I still maintain that the CR English VA nominees are terrible. Once again, its only LA actors (which already looks pretty bad, CR) and there are a couple performances in there that are only for one or two episodes (like really... the one old dude from Babylonia? I didn't even particularly like the Babylonia dub because the script was so restricted, but there were still some decent main performances). The nominees here feel like such an afterthought compared to the JPN VA nominees (which I thought were all pretty solid), and I can't tell if its because they don't have enough judges who actually watch, let alone like, English dubs outside of the occasional one on Netflix or the judges overall just don't care. |
