Not surprising in the least. I have a feeling Disney Channel and Disney Junior are next, and I also think all three channels might shut down in the US as well seeing how popular Disney+ is.

I always wondered how American cartoon channels work in Japan, I know that some cartoons are popular there with different demographics but I find it interesting that The Prince of Tennis was re-run over there, the only anime on Disney where I live is Yokai-Watch. But curiously, here in lat-am Disney (known as Jetix beore its rebranding) was previously Fox Kids (years before they accquired the entire Fox brand) and the channel actually aired a lot of anime including Digimon (whit a dub closer to the Japanese original), Shaman King, Patlabor, Mon Colle Kinghts, among others.

RIP Fox Kids! Thanks for airing Medabots. I bought the ADV DVD's in the end. I'm so pleased I did. Its one of those rare instances where the heavily edited dub is better than the sub.

Okay. Can you get Keroro Gunsou airing on the channel, then bring it to Disney+ in the US?

Not surprising, massive consolidation of TV channels is going to happen as more people go to streaming. The only channels that have a future are those that show live sports and news since they only matter when watched live and have little to no use as catalogue material unlike scripted TV shows and films.
Disney already shut down all 3 Disney channels in the UK with Disney+ being the one stop shop for Disney content now.

Not a big surprise all the Disney Channels have been removed from Sky and Virgin Media here in the UK at the beginning of the month.
