This announcement makes me very, very happy. This was one of the real hidden gems of last year, so more is well-deserved.

Would it be possible for you write weekly review for the second season if there is enough popular demand? ![]() |

Sad not to see more people excited about season 2. The show was a really fun time, and the comedy felt fresh and inspired compared to a lot of similar types of shows that have come out lately. I'd encourage anyone to check out season 1 if you want something that will simply make you smile. |

I'm probably not as into the show as the peeps above, but I did enjoy it and consider this to be good news.

I watch a lot of moe anime. Most of them are a comfy watch but tend not to stand out in my mind, such as the most recent one I saw, Anima Yell. It's rare for me to find a moe anime I don't like, but almost equally rare to find one that truly captures my brainspace long after episode 12 has finished.
Machikado Mazoku has stuck with me constantly. I can't get over how lovable and huggable Shamiko is with how hard she tries in spite of all of her difficulties, how sweet her friendship is with the well-off but horribly lonely Momo, and how the light fantasy elements give so much flavor and life to the setting so as to ignite the imagination of someone as non-creative as myself. Even anime I absolutely love tend not to get me to read the source material, but here I am, caught up on the manga. Knowing what characters and situations await in this second season has me more excited for a new season of an anime than I've been in a long time. Ganbare, Shamiko, ganbare. |

Didn't even remember this series. Guess I will have to watch the first season first.

I think this was a common reaction. And since I just realized that I never responded to Engineering Nerd's question: I'd be happy to do episode reviews for the second season if it gets voted in during its debut. |
