I need to own the complete series at some point. I have the one or two of the original DVDs for Marmalade Boy, but I do own the entire manga series at least. This is a good series for people who really like the romance genre as the story plays it by the book from what I remember watching it years ago.

It's been years since I even thought about Marmalade Boy. At least now I can watch it for old time's sake if I ever feel like it.

I love this show! I am so glad I'll be able to watch it again in legal quality.

I've never wanted to strangle two sets of fictional parents so much in my life.

Perfect timing for Valentine's Day. So happy that I own this series on SDBD thanks to Discotek Media. Now if only we could get a complete series dvd release of Kodocha. I wouldn't even care if the second half of it got dubbed or not. I just want to own it legally.

I'm not sure I follow you, Marmalade Boy came out on DVD beginning in 2004 in the U.S. It came out on standard definition Bluray last September. Are you saying those versions are less complete than that from Crunchyroll?

I heard it was the case with Tokyopop releases, but I forgot that Discotek (love that licenseer that saves lost anime) saved it.

Perhaps the English dub was held back as an incentive for viewers to buy the Discotek releases? The prequel "movie" is also not on CR, possibly for the same reasons.
DT has also done at least some revising to the old TokyoPop translations, so thankfully there's no more "Yoroshiku-ne, Miki-chan" and the like.
