It still concerns me that we haven't heard about music. Yoko Kanno and the Seatbelts were an integral part of the success of Cowboy Bebop. Without her touch, I worry that it just won't feel right.
It should be easy to find a gender-neutral teenager for Ed, but it wouldn't surprise me if they just haven't settled on one yet due to the timing of the shoot and how kids that age change fast. I'm a little worried they'd just leave her out. I'd like to see a Keanu cameo - he'd fit well as one of the Red Dragon elders. Although Beat Takeshi would be good as well - maybe add Hiroyuki Sanada to make it the traditional trio. Also, we really need to find the perfect Three Old Guys to make a background appearance in every episode. I nominate James Earl Jones, Sam Elliott, and Edward James Olmos. |

Oh man, I am relieved.. When I saw her photo with the orange hair, at first I imagined they had cast her as "sexy grown up Ed". And then That would have meant the series is going to turn out terrible. So relieved that it's actually Julia. We still have hope.

Ed could very well not be in the (first) season which is why there's been nothing on Ed. Focus on Spike, Jet and Faye initially and gradually bring in more characters should the show do well, etc. |

Meh.. I keep seeing Sulu and it's killing it for me. I may eventually watch this. But for now meh. |

I have to say this is looking more promising that almost any other Western live-action adaptation of an anime I've seen. Here's hoping people give it a chance and not just assume it will be terrible.
