Ooooh, anime is getting more mainstream. It's such a weird feeling.

Kind of. She isn’t exactly mainstream, so it’s hard to translate.

And in all fairness to say they’re wrong isn’t exactly right because opinion... “But continue.”

Nah. A few celebrities being into anime is all but meaningless when it comes to measuring whether or not it's mainstream or becoming so. Name a hobby, no matter how obscure, and odds are you can find celebrities into it. For example... model railroading, or geocaching, or stamp collecting...

This fascination with celebrities being into anime is more about celebrity culture than anything else.

Honestly. It's a quick way at a few internet headlines targeting young, impressionable people and as far as "anime Fandom" goes, they picked the biggest current fad. As someone else noted, anyone with even minor knowledge of the character would know his whole point is fire on one side and ice on the other and whoevers idea this was still fucked it up.

Agreed. And let's not forget that many of these celebrities are of an age in which they likely saw anime on TV when they were a kid. It's hardly surprising that some are interested in big-name shows like Sailor Moon, Akira, Dragon Ball, etc.

Also agreed. I find it puzzling that people even care about what various celebrities do with their time.

I mean she could actually legit be into anime. It's not that hard of a stretch to believe. She seems to talk about it a lot on her twitter, and looks to have dressed up as other characters from what I can see.

I'm kind of shocked at the negativity and disbelief a lot of people have over her dressing up as a character, and rejecting it. It's like people can't accept anyone would like anime but basement dwellers and celebrities have to hate it.

Unless it's celebrities they like.

As for the fire or ice being on the wrong side I'd put that more on whoever edited the picture.
