Good thing this show is a musical--if it stays true to the source material, there sure as hell won't be any sound effects!

As for "choreography", I predict a lot of actors freezing in place to honor the anime's lack-of-cel count... Cool

Chargeman Ken looks alot like Speed Racer to me for some reason.

Liner notes on the Chargeman Ken! DVD says that a couple of pilot shorts that led to Chargeman's production had one Eiji Tanaka as a character designer. Tanaka was a key animator at Tama Productions, which made Speed Racer some six years earlier.

If Mike Toole some DOESN'T attend this and report on it for us vicariously, I will be sorely disappointed. I mean, clearly, he's one of the main people this musical is being made FOR.
