"Transforms Sleeping Into Entertainment?" What in the world does that mean? And what does Pokemon have to do with healthy sleep habits anyway? Are they pulling a GarfieldEats on us?
Maybe it's just an attempt to relaunch the Go+ with an additional feature no one will actually use. Again. |

Maybe you get rewarded for sleeping enough, motivating players to have healthy sleeping habits or something like that, in a similar way Pokémon Go rewards your for walking. |

There's already been a ton of jokes about this new app online, but I am honestly interested in this. I've long suffered from insomnia and even though I'm generally sleeping better these days (for various reasons), I'm not sure if it's enough. I'm also a big Pokemon fan, so this might be tailor-made for me.

...???
So if I'm getting this straight, they're essentially trying to make the original Pokemon Go Plus wrist thing viable again so they can sell a new version? ...After tons of us bought the Pokeball Plus? ...Rude. I am not buying more accessories just for new accessories to come out and make the ones I have useless (aside from having Eevee chatter at me when I walk around while it's in the Pokeball). |

In Japan, if you play an online multiplayer game, you're OBVIOUSLY playing it for 12 to sixteen hours a day--and have one of those crayon-drawn "time-management" pie graphs on your wall to remind you of your worked-out minimum schedule for when to eat and sleep--and thus need sensible mobile intervention to help deal with the outside world's schedules again. ![]() It may reflect part of an existing problem, but when popular negative stereotypes become mainstream-marketable, bad things ultimately happen. |

While I do not own Pokémon Go, I do like the idea that Niantic, along with another develop called Select Button, is creating an app that would help people get better sleep. It seems like the good follow up to the fact they motivated a lot of people to get more exercise through Go. However concerning the logo of the game while I get why a pikachu was chosen, I think it would have been more fitting if they had chosen a snorlax instead or a komala, or maybe even both for that matter since those pokémon are known for sleeping.
