If anyone noticed last night one of the resolutions by Cartoon Network was to put the action block back on Saturdays. I don't know if this is one of their jokes or if they were serious. I like the whole idea of them putting it on Saturday since I can actually watch instead of recording it. Like the idea of Adult Swim on Saturday?

This is probably their Movie Night they mentioned back in September. I doubt they'd air sequential episodes from the weekday runs on Saturdays.

I kinda like the way they have it set up now where they air episodes every night. The only problem is how late it actually starts. I think that they should do away with Futurama and Family Guy airing before the anime. But I also like the fact that they are going to air anime on Saturdays whether they are just movies or not.

While it has been an action block and not Adult Swim they have been airing anime on Saturday's for a long while. Kenshin, Hakusho, and .hack have been back-to-back from 11:00-12:30 (at least lately) so maybe all they are doing is renaming that block and adding a show (like Bebop) at 12:30.

I really hope that's not the case though.

Well, the block will be part of Adult Swim, so I wouldn't expect any TV-Y7 shows in it. It will probably be used as a movie night or for other special events, or shows that aren't part of the weeknight line-up.

I am fine either wayw/Adult Swim... the problem is they are not consistent with their scheduling AND they need to announce in advance what is coming up before AS is on. Much like when Toonami is on, they also fail to tell you what is upcoming... I find this slightly annoying, am I the only one? Evil or Very Mad

the Adult Swim action block should be scaled back to just two days a week, say Friday and Saturday. They don't really have enough material to spread out over five days.

Eheheh, more time means more room for new shows, which they're schedualed to get quite a bit. I'll really like it on saturday night, I don't have cable, and I only can watch it when I babysit, which is the weekend. *is sick and tired of watching the same .hack ep over and over and some anime she hates*

Oh yeah...
Adult Swim says they have FLCL, but I have never seen it being aired. Does anyone know it's schedule?

It would be nice if Cartoon Network had their schedule like this

Sun:Comedy
Mon-Thur:For long series like Inuyasha
Fri:Series that are 6-26 episodes long
Sat: Movies

First off:

Adult Swim is not going to take off Futurama and Family Guy because they bring in RATINGS. None of the anime(except Big O) have been in the top telecast ratings for Cartoon Network. Besides, Adult Swim is about adult animation, not anime. It may seem like anime is the only thing on, but it's a block for adult animation.

Now, your schedule:
It will be a while before Adult Swim gets Fridays. Cartoon Cartoons air on Fridays and bring in ratings for Cartoon Network. The only problem with AS being on Saturdays is if they do that repeat thing like the rest of the days, then classic cartoons are almost gone from Cartoon Network. Jim Samples sucks. Mad

What they will probably be doing is keeping the weeknights for the long anime series (26 episodes or more) and their highest-rated comedies. Saturdays will be for short series (13 episodes or less), anime movies and special events such as experimentation with subbed anime or tryouts of anime from genres other than action/adventure. Sundays will continue to be all comedy.

Short term, they will probably allow the current SVES anime series to run to their conclusions before replacing them. (^_*)
