I'll be curious to see what happens with sound and resolution for the next consoles. I was going back and forth for a while on getting a 4K TV, but decided to hold off since I can't bring myself to buy a PS4 Pro at full MSRP. Surround sound isn't something I've given any serious consideration, but it sounds like maybe we'll start seeing games where it makes a more perceptible difference on the gameplay.

It's so nice as a Persona to see the series get treated this well on this stage. I know Sakurai already expressed how much he liked 5, but they did better than I thought they would.

There has been a market for a few years now for these big, bootleg arcade double sticks that range from $150 to over $200, packed with (clearly unlicensed) roms. They're on mainstream online retailers and get praised on YouTube all the time, even when they're pretty crappy.
If I had to guess, Capcom saw those, and decided why not? I suppose the question now is how big that market actually is, and if those people are in it more for the bajillion roms with minimal effort than anything. |

When I saw the Joker trailer, I was really surprised. There's a lot of flavor they ported over and the All-out Attack FInal Smash along with the Winner Victory screen just calls into nostalgia. I was surprised how much fun it all looks as a guest character.

-Smash: Yeah, Joker is awesome and the amount of detail Sakurai's team put into recreating everything about the franchise is amazing. And yes, this really makes Square's contributions damning by comparison and why I actually don't want any DQ representation in the game
-Consoles: Not feeling the PS5 to be honest. -Home Arcade: Nintendo continues to be the ONLY company who has figured out micro-consoles. Now back to Smash |

Okay, the issue with the Capcom stick and the Final Burn Alpha scandal can only explode from here. You would think Capcom would stay away from that legal gray area and make their own in-house emulator for their stick but nope!

Joker in Smash: I feel like Joker is the best Persona character out there, i still hope they can the previous protagonist of Persona titles like 4, 3, 2, 1. But hopefully, for the next DLC, i am hoping they can include Amy Rose of Sonic the Hedgehog or characters from the western copyright to be included in the titles.
PS new console annoucement: I am glad they are announcing it, just as long as PS4 get price drop when it comes, i'll purchase it one for sure!

Aside the harsh stuff the article already said about the Capcom Home Arcade, perhaps more damning, and not mentioned in the article, is that it uses the open-source emulator FB Alpha which explicitly forbids any commercial application of it, thus Capcom is in breach of it;

If anything though Capcom is in less of awkward position then this apparent person who signed off on this arrangement without consulting the other members of his own team. |
