That is some ridiculously long blonde hair. It must be 10-12 feet.

Ah, the classic type of silly Japanese LN-titles, before everything became "explain the premise in a long sentence" with the isekai hype.
Just "[Adjective] [Profession] [Name]". Or sometimes "[Noun] [Profession] [Name]".

This visual... I love it. I want this in my life. I watched Orphen Revenge earlier this year and despite the not many people liking that one, I enjoyed it
CAN'T WAIT

I'll take this as a Christmas present. I remember watching Orphen as a kid in the early 00s, though I always liked the first series over Orphen's Revenge which was too comedy focused in the first episodes for my taste and it took a while to get serious. Now, I wish they could license this new series to Latin-America and get the original voices back as well, however I think only Orphen's voice actor (who also vocied Van in Zoids, Sonic in Sonic X and Zuko in Avatar) is still working, I don't know if Cleo's and Majic's voice actors (who funnily also voiced the main couple in Marmalade Boy) are still working.

I'm very curious about that.
I really liked the first season and the manga side stories when I was a kid (but didn't like the second season), and thus this is a pretty good surprise.

I watched the original orphan back 5 years ago maybe. Theres a jingle in that anime that is way to catchy and played way to much and its annoyingly stuck in my head for life. Anyone else who watched orphan probably has the same problem. It's the one that goes da-da da-da da-da da-da da da da-da da-da da-da da-da da da da

that's a miracle, usually they just recast with whatever younger and more popular voice-actors they get these days(looking at you,Fruits Basket)...
Hell,Shaman King's creator actually demanded the old cast to return for a new anime to happen and they told him "no can do"...

I’m excited but also a little stymied here. The original anime was cool as heck when I was a kid, but even watching the subbed version as an adult on HiDive, it feels like a fairly complete story, and I’ve never heard of any “the original creator hated this” stories a la Fruits Basket or Kare Kano that might justify a remake.

The original Sorcerous Stabber Orphen light novel series was 20 volumes long, and I highly doubt that the 90s anime covered the entire run of novels, especially since it ran until 2003. If anything, the anime either created its own original ending, or there are other story arcs that were never adapted before, so there's plenty of potential for this new anime.

From what I've heard, Orphen Revenge is also largely (if not completely?) original content, but even then that didn't go on until 2003 so I'm definitely curious how it all truly ends (though I never considered Revenge a final).
I'm curious what this remake will do. I'm really hoping for a summer release, I think Spring will be just a bit too soon.

If people are curious about the full original story, we're publishing the novels, and you can read them! (Volume 3 coming out in a day).
The original anime is like, 50% original content, and the sequel series is basically 100% original, so everything past volume 1 or so is very different.
