on a trailer that i saw for the gundam wing tv series dvds, the trailer showed some original animation that wasn't shown when gw was shown on cartoon network.btw, i saw the trailer on the last dvd of Mobile suit gundam (vol. 10 i think). that dvd had the gw trailer, and the newly animated scenes were like endless waltz quality! i own the first gundam wing series dvd, but there were no new animation from the tv version? anyone who has the gw dvds please explain?

You probably saw the GW: Endless Waltz special edition DVD trailer. The movie version (note: the Special Edition carries both the OAV and Movie versions of EW) has a few added scenes that was not aired on Cartoon Network.

The only Wing DVD I have is Endless Waltz, so I can't say for sure, but I'm guessing they're probably showing footage from the opening and/or ending clips of the series.
Or, if the suits looked like the ones from Endless Waltz, then you probably saw what Skyline is describing.

I concur with GTR, it was probably the opening/ending sequence footage. A lot of that was really high quality, especially the second opening with "Rhythm Emotion". It's jaw dropping how well done the Epyon/Wing Zero fight is.

Oops, sorry Nagisa.
Or was I just trying to make it look like I don't agree with you all the time?
I did, however, consider one other possibility. The final battle between Zechs/Epyon and Heero/Wing Zero did have some seriously high levels of animation quality. So that could also have contributed.

I tend to agree with the others as well. I don't have the DVD to be positive, but CN never aired the "Rythem Emotion" credits sequence (or It's Just Love end credits), just "Just Communication." The credits with "Rythem Emotion" and the battle sequences between Zero and Epyon are both high quality animation which are of Waltz quality. Also don't forget the CN aired 2 different versions of Wing as well. The daytime Toonami run was edited and the Midnight Run was unedited. you may have just not seen them if you saw the daytime airing of the show.

The only Gundam Wing TV series trailer that I've seen on any Bandai DVDs is the same one that Cartoon Network aired in the weeks leading up to the show's premiere. It did, in fact, feature numerous pieces of animation from the Just Communication opening sequence. I don't believe there was any Rhythm Emotion animation, I know there was no animation from It's Just Love (which just features shots of Relena playing with animals), and there was also no animation from the final battle between Zechs and Heero. Bandai typically doesn't include animation from the very last episode in its trailers, at least that I've seen.
Even if spikespiegel98 is thinking of something else, I can verify that there is no extra animation on the DVDs. What you saw on Cartoon Network is all there is to the Gundam Wing TV series, and there are no extra scenes on the DVDs. If this extra animation wasn't from the Just Communication opener, then it was actually an Endless Waltz trailer. Since you saw it on a Bandai DVD, those are the only two things it could possibly be, since they only released the TV series and Endless Waltz.
Edit: Also, to answer spikespiegel98's other question about where to see the Rhythm Emotion intro: I believe it started around episode 40, so get a tape or DVD from that part of the series. I don't know a thing about the Wing VHS release, but DVD volumes 9 and 10 both feature the Rhythm Emotion opening.
