You saw either saw episode 48 ("Return to the place where we first met") or the last new episode, episode 52 ("The Demon's True Nature" or something like that...) that aired on CN. Inuyasha is an incredibly long series. It's well over 100 episodes and is still going on in Japan. There are also 3 movies. If you have more questions about the series, refer to the Inuyasha encyclopedia page, Inuyashaworld, TVtoMe's InuYasha page, or any of the other Inuyasha fansites on the web.

Actually it has yet to end. So far 138 eps have been broadcasted in Japan and there's a new season coming out next year. The third Inuyasha movie recently premiered last week. Looks like this will become another long series much like Takahashi's previous ones. Just look at Urusei Yatsura!

EDIT: According to the encyclopedia, 136 eps have been broadcasted. Meh...off by two episodes. Cool

Inuyasha IMO is worth buying, and they have shown up to ep136 and from the way the series is heading it might end in 30 or 40 more eps. spoiler[They are finally after the last shikon shard.]

If you guys are wondering why on earth there are so many fillers espisodes I hope this tidbit of info helps since the manga is barely ahead of the series now,one of the fillers purpose to buy the manga more time and some of the other purposes is to show more background, past, etc with some of the lesser known characters. Hope that helps. Also there is a rumor going around that the japanese manga (if all goes according to plan of course) is that will end sometime in June/July of 2004 and then anime will follow suit shortly afterward.

spoiler[haven't they been after that shard for about 30 eps now? Wink]
Anyway, I don't really mind fillers, as long as they're enjoyable =) tnx for that useful tidbit of information Inu-yasha Smile

While 130-plus esp.s is a whole lot of shows with no ending in yet of sight, lets all prey that the producers don't go Gundam on the series and reinvent, and reoccur endlessly ad infinitum.

It's going to take a LONG time for the manga to wrap up. There are so many loose ends to tie up. They are not even close on hove to defeat Naraku (but they know his weakness), and issues about the Shikon Jewel and the relationships don't look close to wrapping up soon.[/spoiler]

I agree, but usually after they get rid of one bad guy another more stronger comes up to challenge them.
