When they get those issues sorted out I'm definitely going to get it for my TV. The selection on Hidive is pretty decent as well. |

Still no Roku app, and still has the bizarrely inept PC UI/UX...

Glad I'm not the only one waiting for a Roku app. The ability to temporarily download content to mobile devices (like Amazon Prime, Netflix and VRV) would be great, too!

I see they are still going with their pattern of starting with the least-used streaming platform and working their way up.
Roku is by far the #1 streaming platform by market share. I guarantee you are nowhere remotely close to the only one waiting. |

Good job, Hidive. It's not like I'm patiently waiting for you to release an app for PS4 (which is where I stream most of the stuff I watch) or one for Roku.
I really don't understand how they decided on the priority for various different apps. |

It's frustrating that there's apparently some dispute going on between Apple and HiDive, as the app was removed from the App Store and still hasn't returned. Does anyone know what's going on?

At this point I am tired of waiting for a Roku app and will probably cancel my subscription this month. When they finally decide to make an app for the most popular streaming platform, I might resubscribe.
I want to support legal streaming, especially of dubs, but do not feel a need to give money to a company that has demonstrated a definite lack of urgency in getting a Roku app out the door to meet the needs of myself and a lot of other customers. |

They're using Xbone for beta testing, just gotta be patient until everyone else can get a slightly more functional version.

Going to buck the trend and say I'm happy for XBox users, although I'm not among them. As for Roku, I can take it or leave it. If my sister's and brother-in-law's experience means anything, Roku = non-functioning remotes that force them to use their phones to select items, limited commercial varieties, and streams that freeze up and require re-loading every hour or so. Guess I've never understood the modern mania for apps; just as I find it easier to watch broadcast TV with an antenna and an old-fashioned number-pad-based remote control, I find it simpler to watch HiDive and such by connecting my PC to my TV. (And I don't own any 21st century game consoles, either.)

FINALLY. This is an important step in the right direction. I always internally worry about Sentai when the have their random (and numerous) 80% off sales. I want them to get streaming revenue and license more shows for standard blu-ray releases. I love their Collector's sets, but their blu-ray singles for certain shows take up less space.

“By far” is a bit of a an exaggeration, as most recent market share numbers show Amazon Fire only a point or two behind it. Their frequent sales where they are almost giving the devices away have really boosted their market share, and they’re projected to surpass Roku in the near future. Honestly, I feel price is the only reason for the success of Fire, as its UI and stability is far below that of Roku or Apple TV. |

Does Roku force channel providers to implement their billing these days? If so, that would probably make creating a channel on Roku less attractive. |
