I don't think this is Crunchyroll's fault - they simulcast the 1st episode in a bunch of countries excluding the US (or maybe North America) IIRC. I suspect this means that the US is seen as a potentially large-enough revenue source that rights had to be negotiated separately and things took a bit longer to get approved.

Can confirm it's most lileky not crunchy's fault, beside Conception and Beelzebub-jou which were delayed, there wasn't any delay for all the others series in most country so far . I use a VPN to get past their region block and To aru was on time last friday everywhere except US.

Yeah the fact that it was already available on Europe means that it was probably something on the committee side. My guess would be that they overestimated how much licencors were ready to give and had to let ground when they realized nobody would buy it at their asking price.

For as wide of an audience as possible, "Worldwide except Japan" would be better. Maybe add in China as China blocks a lot of anime series in there.
