Given that the PS4 Dualshock has a touchscreen, can't they just adapt 358/2 Days and Coded accordingly? Seriously, it would have been the perfect collection had that been the case.

Kingdom Hearts: The Western (or American) collection. The box art and title clearly tells you that Tetsuya Nomura had no part in this. But nice to see that they are reiterating Nomura's plan for the games that was completed last year.

PS4 has a touch... PAD. Also, it was stated in 2012 by Nomura when 1.5 was announced that remaking Days would delay the collections release. Why? Because it takes too long remaking two screened low pixelated DS games when they have no time as it is. Dream Drop Distance is the only one that was worthy enough because its story is important enough to make it a main game. Plus, the touchpad features on it aren't good, especially during minigames. I will never get why people want to replay repetitive missions (filler) the game, but in HD, so much. Coded speaks for itself. Let it go. The time for that has come and gone.

I can't speak for anyone else but 358/2 Days was the ONLY game I wanted to see get the HD remaster treatment.
The other games came out on PS2 and were really good looking.
Not the best now that we live in the age of 1080p and if you're wealthy enough 4k and VR but it was reasonable for the times.
358/2 Days was 2 steps back.
It wasn't chain of memories bad but god was it awful(looking).
It's also the only game where Roxas is the main character and since KH2 was my entry point into the franchise he's the character I was the most invested in and playing 'his' game/story got me more excited than any other previous iteration.
Birth by Sleep was also a really great game but i felt like their PSP game was solid so it didn't need a remaster.
358/2 did, desperately but instead we get a cinematic retelling while even Chain of memories got a real HD Remake.
Anyway stay tuned for more KH announcements from SE.
Up next is Kingdom Hearts: The Story So Far PS4 Game Collection VR followed by Kingdom Hearts: The Story So Far PS4 Game Collection 4K then by Kingdom Hearts: The Story So Far PS4 Game Collection 4KVR.
Jokes aside I have to admit this is the best deal they've had to date I just hate how many times they can milk this damn franchise just 'upscaling' it to current technology.

only way i'd buy this is if they released it for the switch, otherwise i'm happy enough with my ps3 versions along with the final ps4 collection.
I actually played through each game in a row pretty recently actually in preparation for Kingdom hearts 3 and I kinda wish recoded and 358/2 days were playable, its pretty boring too watch through it a second time.

This collection has absolutely nothing that I don't already have on the PS3 or PS4, so... Might have been interested if it actually had 358/2 Days in it. I missed out on that game since my DS broke back before it came out. I know it has issues, but I really like Roxas and Xion so it would be neat to play through it.

When Square Enix of all companies puts out a better re-release than Sony did last gen (see God of War Saga)....
This collection is good for those who didn't bother with the previous collections for whatever reason but with that said, I do kinda feel bad for those with an Xbox One because with them also getting Kingdom Hearts III, they're going to need something to catch up.

Even if they can't remake 358/2 Days or Re: Coded, I still wish Square did the next best thing and offer at least a separate digital release for both of those games' original version either with this collection or as a separate digital package. I'm okay with my DS games but it would be nice if Square followed in Capcom's footsteps and re-release them for other people who can't get the original DS Copies.

As much I love Kingdom Hearts, it's hard for me not to look at this as a straight up cash grab and nothing more. How is this different than the HD remaster collections they already released for the PS4? Sure, this puts them all on one disc, but that hardly seems like that huge of a deal. Many people download the game to their PS4 these days anyway, so having these games across more than one disc would have been a moot issue if that was something that really bothered you. And even though price wise this is a really good deal (this is far cheaper than it would have been to buy 2.8 and 1.5+2.5 brand new when they launched), to buy the original remasters on disc can't be much more expensive considering how long they've been out now.
I dunno, this just feels like their fleecing us for all were worth. I've got KHIII on preorder and until that comes out, I'm not buying anything else KH related. Although, if they did port these remasters to the switch....yeah, they'd get me again on that, I'm a sucker

I think of this more as just a mere combo pack for people who don't have either game yet and you want to know the story before KHIII comes out.

Actually it's not on one disc. It's two discs and one case. And they're not really fleecing us (the people who already bought the collections separately) since I doubt they think we're meant to buy the games yet again. It's just another way of marketing the games to the audience of people who still haven't played the games yet, make it easier for them by offering them all the games in one buy instead of looking up two separate cases.
