They would be missing quite an opportunity if they didn't have orange Fanta available to buy aboard the branded Shinkansen.

Fishing is a popular hobby in Japan from what I've read, and fishing minigames are practically a staple in their RPGs. Though I find it hard to imagine going fishing to be a hit with the young crowd since a lot of people consider it something popular with older folks.

Some of these things not on this list, though, I find weird not because of what they are, but for the insane prices they sell for and how quickly they sell in spite of (or perhaps despite of) those prices.
I remember the car, for instance, selling for US$1 million, and they ran out in a day. What kind of jobs do these fans have that they can spend a million bucks like it was nothing? Are they CEOs, top politicians, and crime bosses or something?

I'm genuinely surprised at how low Hisone to Maso-tan scored in anticipation - 20th place for a show about a dragon air force from Bones?

Ha, that's nothing, how about this? Back then when Steins;Gate came out, Dr.Pepper is a super rare drink that you can only find it at my capital city (Jakarta) so when one of my friend went there, I asked him to buy it for me and after drinking that thing, the bottle stayed on my PC table for quite some time like a rare anime merchandise

I've also wondered about this. It seems more likely that the cars were bought by companies to use as promotional gimmicks/attractions? I just can't see more than maybe one fan possibly having the money to blow on a "collectible" car. Maybe I'm underestimating the number of ultra-successful anime fans, but the repair costs on that thing have got to be astronomical, if repairs are even possible.

As someone who is a Godzilla/giant monster fan first and foremost, and first started paying attention to the EVA franchise specifically because the Angels were giant monsters, watching the Godzilla X Eva collaboration unfold was a delight. I even ended up obtaining a fair bit of the merchandise!
I still think the S.H. Monsterarts collab pictured was off the mark, though. Why put Godzilla in Eva unit colors, when there are three different Mechagodzillas available and would be much more appropriate? (as Bandai did with a couple Kiryu vinyl variants) Then they could have done Godzilla in complementary Angel colors. Now you have to buy both for the complete setup!
