In one way, I'm still salty that this got an anime instead of Taiyou no Ie. But if I look at it from another aspect, this looks pretty low budget and the cast is also meh. So...maybe it's better Taiyou no Ie didn't get an anime.

I just hope that this will be better handled than Watashi ga Motete Dousunda's (Kiss Him, Not Me) anime as they butchered the source material in that one. Else I'll really lose faith in Kodansha regarding how they treat their shoujo manga.

I believe you underestimate the attraction some people feel toward "fixing" someone.

That said, in anime, the motivation tends to be more pure, such as the person observing some noble aspect of the "loser" no one else at school knows about, being a forgotten childhood friend, etc..

It’s okay sweetie, you can say every isekai harem fantasy light novel ever. Except this is isn’t a fantasy Ln series nor a harem. The sub header literally says that it’s based off a “josei” series, which is basically for an older female audience. You can go ahead and watch every other anime that has the thing you quoted just now, but this one ain’t it.

This is one thing that confuses me. On ANN and on MAL (I think), they say this is a josei manga when to my knowledge, it ran in Dessert which is a shoujo magazine:

I don't see a single josei manga from the magazine. Granted, Dessert is geared towards older shoujo readers but it's still not josei. Josei is something like Kiss magazine.

It's Josei? but the plot is very genderbend generic shoujo-ish.
