Wait is that Re:Creators and Fate/Apocrypha at the AniplexUSA both? Aren't those the 2 titles they failed to license?

Re:Creators is still an Aniplex show. It was Fate Grand Order that they were advertising for the other one (among other things) which they definitely did license.

In spite of a few imperfections to the layout of the complex, things have been really spacious here and crowd bottlenecks have been minimal. Attending two consecutive panels and navigating the dealers' room are not the daunting labours I expected they would be.

I am just surprised at the lack of comments. Really want to know how successful the move was to DC from Baltimore. By that one previous comment it sounds like good news.
I would have liked to have gone for Otakon's first DC convention, but I went to Anime Japan last year so I couldn't justify the time or expense so soon after.

This was my first Otakon and first large con in general so I don't have much to compare it to, but compared to what I heard from some other attendees and on this site about other conventions, it seemed to go fairly well. There was a slight delay in setting up bag check on the first day at least at the entrance I went in, but even then it only took about half an hour to get in. There were some technical difficulties for some panels, but it wasn't too bad for the most part. The video was late in the video room I started the convention at, but they still ended on schedule. Traffic flow wasn't really an issue as mentioned earlier. The food sold in the convention center was a little expensive, but cheaper options were available outside. Personally, I enjoyed it, so even if it wasn't the best one, it was still a great experience.
