Starting on my birthday, nice. That means the show won't be edited and I'll get to see Duuz again after so long. Yay! : D

Since I never watched Outlaw Star before, this might be my chance to watch it. I wish that it was being aired before Shippuden so that way everything I want to see is all in one continuous block (not that I have anything against Shippuden; I've seen the Pein arc more than a few times already, so I usually take that time to get ready for bed), but I digress. The only troublesome part will be convincing my husband to stay up a little bit later than usual on Saturdays to watch it.

You have to remember though that Outlaw Star was originally aired on weekday afternoons in the US and this was back in the day when Toonami was still marketed as a kid's block. So they had to censor that stuff or Cartoon Network would have been sued to death by the media watchdog groups. I assume Cartoon Network aired the edited version even at late night at the time because it was probably cheaper for them to just air a version they already had access than try to negotiate for another version of the same show that would probably reach a smaller more niche audience at the time.

Wow, I'm happy they're bringing back Outlaw Star. I think they only re-aired once after the original run. Glad to see it again.

For us to get all disappointed to like the Berserk sequel anime.
And Big O can also get a sequel show in my dreams also. |
How can Big O have a sequel when it was a time loop? I could see them doing a Prequel of how Roger came into the possession of Big O. Unless you want to explain the beyond (the lights above), which I think would just ruin the original.

I remember that. They basically did the same thing they did with Tenchi Muyo in painting on an outfit for Melfina and added extra to the tank. Though I do recall them showing the Hot Springs episode and used the cloud technique on Aisha, which I'm sure they will do again. That was the only definitive nude scene in the entire series. Nothing for people to go nuts over. Pretty mild compared to anime these days.

But it was still edited for the Toonami Midnight Run and Adult Swim Action. Maybe some the violence was in tact but still not uncut.

I mean, it is a timeloop... and it isn't. Clearly every time Paradigm City is reset it becomes harder to erase the memories and even some of the physical landscape of the previous Paradigm City, and the ending hints that things in the new one are a little different.

on the plus side , they would be able to show the series uncut, unedited and uncensored at that timeslot instead of when they showed it in the 90's. though that hotspring episode would probably wont show. that kind of fanservice would violate the FCC S&P if they had shown that ep, even if it did got edited and probably lead to a fine.

Hey, we can all dream can't we?
And I agree with PenguinTruth's explaining of the ending of the show. If that's so then another sequel could be made of it.

Wow. Didn't expect Outlaw Star to return to Toonami. I've already watched it, but I hope newcomers will enjoy it.
