Or...I'm guessing it's getting more manga content (side stories)

Ye i also think that the manga is probably ending as i also dont see why would this get a 2nd season it wasnt bad but it wasnt exactly super awesome to get another season and sales werent anythin special either.

I'd be down for a second season of this show. Preferably next summer to match the time frame in which the anime takes place.

Dagashi Kashi The Animation the Motion Picture: "I Want Candy" Love Story.

Sadly, it's far more likely than a second season. Or maybe I'd rather have a movie as it'll be over quicker?

Maybe he'll be starting a second series, maybe spend more time on that than Dagashi Kashi.

Blargh. The first season of the anime was ruined by that incompetent director.
I doubt this announcement will be anything to look forward to regardless.

Maybe it's the Dagashi Kashi x Non Non Biyori "Battle of the Dagashi-ya's" crossover movie we've all been waiting for?

I kinda liked the first season of Dagashi Kashi. Seeing more of Saya Endou in the anime compared to the corresponding manga chapters was a positive change as far as I'm concerned.
