I spent too long trying to figure out which name I was seeing was the right one. Different sites seem to have entirely different names for what I think is the same character.

This is correct. She's quite clearly and specifically referred to by that name in the actual OVA, so any other name associated with her is wrong. |

I think the other name must be from Google Translate. I get it when I use Google Translate on the official Japanese site and the Japanese Wikipedia page, but I don't see it written in English on any site that I have any actual confidence in. I find Google Translate just doesn't produce coherent text for Japanese in general, so it is probably just getting the name totally wrong.

I actually got her name right from ANN's encyclopedia. I've never actually seen the OVA, I just recognize it from the old anime catalogs that I got from Books Nippon back in the mid-80s, just as I started becoming an anime fan.
