Kinda funny that even in Japan, a trailer about the history of Power Rangers still spends 99% of it's time on the original series, though it makes sense in context of the movie. I don't expect much, but it will be interesting to see how Japanese audiences react to the movie itself.

There's a bit of Johnny Yong Bosch in that video.
I wonder what Japanese fans would think about his anime stuff. (Was that character in Space Dandy actually made for him, or was all of that just coincidence?)

& i thought Akibarangers explained the Power Rangers thing way better in the form of Powerful Rangers & event costume wearing staff who called themselves Power Rangers instead of Super Sentai, which is meta funny as hell, a brilliant inside joke.

I'm going to go with "not care one bit"

Akibaranger was making fun of PR though, this is trying to promote it.

So, Toei is the movie's Japanese distributor? That's pretty interesting. How often do they handle Hollywood movies?

They do have a production credit. Their logo even appears on the website and some of the English posters.

Well, they don't own Power Rangers, but since it's based on something they do own it makes sense they'd be involved in it.

They probably have no idea who he is.
