I thought the real issue was that Seven Seas realized retailers would not have stocked it?
The situation is different now as online shop platforms have grown to be perhaps the major marketplaces over brick-and-mortar shops for even physical releases...

Both series have been licensed & will be released uncut?
As for KNJ being pulled back by seven seas, you guys have to remember that was a different time when brick/motar retail stores dictated everything. Things have changed alot since then.

And now, Digital Manga (under Project-H imprint) can release it, thanks to its kickstarter that they have more than enough $ to release them in the physical version. The release date has yet to be determined, though.

Sure sure.
I'll take it at face value that 7 seas will not censor... the artwork
BUT
I definitely think there will be "minor tweaks" in the English version that will make yuuuge difference.
Expect Rito's little sister Mikan to be aged-up and bump a school grade above on the text
If my prediction happens, then Veterans among us who can read raw Japanese text will find the English version jarring.
In jpn manga you can see Mikan wearing randoseru when she goes to school which is a clear identifier that she's in elementary school.
It simply starts to not compute if 7 seas bumps up her grade to middle school status because NO middle schooler ever wears a randoseru in a Japansese setting

Requested a Cromartie rescue, that Mamotte Shugogetten sequel, and Cat's Eye myself. But if anyone else is gonna fill it out, but can't think of three on the spot, here are my other suggestions: the rest of Gravitation; the rest of Descendants of Darkness; Legend of Mother Sarah and Domu rescues; the manga which inspired Short Peace; the Satoshi Kon manga adaptation of World Apartment Horror; Revenge of Mouflon rescue; the Jin-Roh manga rescue; the Patlabor novels; the Eden of the East novels; the Sky Crawlers novels; the Whisper of the Heart manga; the novel which inspired Ocean Waves'; Ai Yazawa's Neighborhood Story; the Blue Seed manga; the manga which inspired Everyday is Sunday; You're Under Arrest rescue; Bow Wow Wata rescue; Mad Bull 34; DD Hokuto no Ken; that Dororo and Dororon Enma-kun crossover; Level E and Beelzebub. And I've heard people want Medaka Box, so maybe mention that, too? Oh, and I guess someone else might wanna bring back Ichigo 100%. As for shoujo, if anyone thinks that Haikyuu's success can help boost it more, maybe bring back Crimson Hero?

What is perhaps most creepy is Kentaro Yabuki (the artist) has a daughter (born in 1996 or 1997). That has to be awkward. Honestly, I surprised how "Darkness" is not considered seinen. [/spoiler]

Why "Darkness" is in shonen magazine it comes from what is consider appropriate to teenage public in Japan. Yokai Shoujo, High School DxD, Seikon no Qwaser are manga that are also in shonen magazines.

Mikan is supposed to have 11 years old (5th grade) at Chapter-01 and 12 years old (6th grade) at Chapter-49 in To Love-Ru.

That statement is filled with prejudice. Somehow we are lead to believe that because someone draws porn s/he can't be an upstanding citizen, s/he no doubt is a child molester at the very least. Children are not allowed in a mangakas studio because they get in the way of work even if they are drawing non-echi stuff, so I do not see where the awkward situations would arise.

Seinen is about "adult/mature situations" and there is nothing like that in TLR; nudity or fondling are not seen as "adult only" in japan unless they are in "adult/mature situations" and not the ridiculous MC powers Rito has.

There is nothing really seinen about it. To Love Ru and High School DxD appeal to young boys that are just starting puberty. Most adults won't bother with it since it is just mindless fan service.

I wonder at point a manga magazine decides "this series is no longer shounen but is now seinen" to run series like "Darkness" and "SnQ". mangamuscle, by the logic of your last statement to me, it sounds like SnQ would qualify for it. That series seemed too far to be able to run in a shounen mag.

As I said before, there is nothing adult about TLR, there are no consequences at all for Rito's preposterous actions, it is nothing but wish fulfilment. Do not think nudes are a direct qualifier to be in an adult magazine, you would need to add intercourse for a series to be deemed "too strong for shounen" and even then it would simply jump from shounen directly to hentai since seinen series praise themselves for character development (which neither shounen nor hentai have in most cases).

So Amazon UK has cancelled my order for the first volume while Amazon US is listing them all as 2036 release date.
Has it been cancelled, delayed, Amazon refusing to sell it, or something else the matter?
