Can't wait to see Goku and 17 team up in the following episode. Should be fun.

... Android 17 never interacted with Goku before so... they're basing this interaction off GT as kind of canon?
Hey, if they were trawling through the old cast lists, why didn't they bring back Ginyu? At least he had a deep connection to Goku, walked a mile in his shoes and all that and he does bring more to the table than Roshi.
Or they could finally fix that Cell saga mistake and bring back Android 16, you know, the one they liked? It's almost like Toriyama forgot 16 and 17 existed in the main series but that would be silly...

I don't understand what you mean by that GT comment. They already acknowledged last episode in Super that 17 and Goku have never actually met.
They did bring Ginyu back in Super's adaption of Resurrection F, but Vegeta's already killed him.
And Toriyama didn't really forget 17 so much as he just didn't have a use for him in the story. He was still acknowledged as being alive, considering after Cell was defeated they talked about him as if he was alive and they wished to remove his bomb along with 18's. And 16 was purely machine, unlike 17 and 18 who are more like cyborgs, so Shenron couldn't bring him back.

They actually brought back Ginyu in the Resurrection 'F' arc. After switching bodies with Tagoma, Vegeta killed him easily.

I understood that 16 can't be brought back to life, but why can't he be rebuilt with a wish. And they technically never tried, in the dub at least.

Because what's the point of making a copy of a dead character. It's like if you cloned a friend that died a long time ago. The clone would be similiar, but it would never be like the friend that died.

I'm pretty sure the Dragon can fix and recover data in a damaged android hard drive better then Bulma, I suppose 16 didn't have a soul that may make things hard.

No. The title and synopsis of the episode even says that this is going to be the first time they've ever met each other.
