I'm really afraid of 8bit, I didn't like any anime I watched from them (And their adaptation repertoire is really, really bad). The staff looks good, though.
The LN is good (The beginning can be a bit annoying in some parts, though), I'm hoping I can have a good adaptation at least (And since the mechas will probably be all CGI, I hope at least it's a decent CGI). |

To be honest, it's a self-insert fantasy for fans of mecha. I love it to bits though, especially the R&D aspects. I was hoping that the episode count would be revealed but ah well.
Because it's a self-insert for mecha fans instead of otaku fans in general though, so the fan service comes in the form of mecha rather than sexy girls in harem antics. There does seem like there would be love triangle antics early on, but any hints of such are dropped early on. Any romance that does exist doesn't get a lot of attention. In any case, while I normally prefer 2D, the 3D mecha are detailed enough for me to (metaphorically) fap to. If nothing else, the anime will look nice in the most important visual aspect: the mechs. There are a lot of neat designs I am hoping to see in action. The manga goes as far as to make Eru seem somewhat mecha sexual, which isn't exactly inaccurate for hardcore mecha fans. From the looks of the PV, I don't think Eru's expressions in the anime will be as exaggerated, but it would be funny at least. Other than glorious mecha fan service (which includes both the mech battles and mech development), the strongest aspect of the work is probably the likable side characters who have their own interesting character arcs. The protagonist himself is largely a static character, but how he influences the other characters is genuinely interesting. |

The beginning was a bit messy, but I found it fun. I find overall though the books tend to be slow. I suspect this will turn out similar to the Heavy Object anime. Decent, but nothing special. |

Sounds like it has promise, but you never really know with 8bit I guess. Hit or miss, rarely in between.

and just like death march, the m here was a computer programmer before commiting isekaipukku. except that here it is relevant to the plot, even if just as set up.

The books overall are narration heavy, so it's probably possible to cram 5 novels worth of content into 12/13 episodes. While I would prefer getting to the behemoth fight as fast as possible, it would be a shame if the slow and steady pace of the R&D sections was lost in my opinion. I'm just hoping the anime adaptation is popular enough that Seven Seas or Yen Press will consider licensing it. To be honest, I'd even settle for J-Novel Club, though I don't know how good their translations are. |

Yeah, the mecha design is so well-made it'd be a shame if they cut it down, even for me who isn't a fan of mechas (The worldbuilding is also pretty interesting). I heard J-Novel Club's translations are pretty good from several people so I think it's safe. |

Regarding J-Novel's reliability of translations, occasionally in the site forums a member will point out a grammar mistake of the latest available part.

I've not heard much of 8bit, i just hope the story holds out if the CGI makes muck of things.
