It'll likely be a split 2-cour. I'd rather a normal 2 cour season, but it way better than getting 1 cour again.

Pretty obvious it was going to be a 2-cour season given that they were more than happy to include spoiler[Stain] at the end of season 1 as a tease of things to come. if they weren't going to adapt that arc then what would be the point of including him when hi arc is after another arc.
That said, I'm quite happy that it's more or less concrete confirmed. |

Well, since they teased Stain at the end of season 1 and season 2 moved to a tv block where every anime which has been there has been at least 2-cours long, I've been seeing this as a possibility. Considering the length for season 1 also got leaked in the same circumstances, I think this is believable enough, the Japanese side should confirm things as well eventually, if not, we'll probably know for sure when the BD's get listed.

I guess this means Season 2 is going to go far beyond the spoiler[Stain Arc]. I expect the 1st cour to end with spoiler[Stain], and the 2nd cour to end with spoiler[AFO ].

I don't think it's gonna go far past Stain, since they do have to adapt the Sports Festival Arc arc in the first cour, and since Bones likes to go all out on fights, they might extend some of them. In the second cour we'll have the Stain arc and maybe some of the aftermath that follows. They could also fit in the School Trip arc at the end. |

While I did think trying to cram both the sports festival and spoiler[the stain arc] in just 13 episodes would have been stretching it I didn't think they necessarily needed a whole 24 episodes either. I always thought those arcs combined would have been 15-17 episodes and that we would also need the spoiler[end of term test] arc to close it out since it's just small enough to fit reasonably within 7 episodes.

Im really happy how they are handling My Hero Academia. Most shounen series suffer from dragging on to long or static animation on some parts or just to long recapping the last epiosde in the first few minutes. Great example is Fairy Tail for those flaws. Dont get me wrong, I love Fairy tail A LOT. But i cant ignore the flaws in production (sometimes). The way they handle this gives them enough time to have a high production value. I honestly cant wait for season 2 to start, Im going to wait for the broadcast dub though.

If it IS two cours, we can expect this season to have the Sports Festival for the first cour, then the End of Term Test and Field Training Arcs for the second cour.
