Would have thought they'd have started with a wider release, given the awards & that "give the director a holiday of a lifetime" kickstarter.

The director also commented awhile ago that he may release an extended cut of the movie that adds 30 mins of new footage to the film that was original suppose to be there but due to budget reasons it was never made. Because the film did well he'll make those scenes, expect announcement soon he said.

Seems like it's doing well. Pulling in 800 million is certainly putting it in the black, at least. It would be pretty odd for this movie to have a budget any larger than 200-300 million.
