I was wondering when this would happen. Since the first episode aired I'd been trying to figure out where Hasetsu was or what it was based on ever since Yuri mentioned living in Kyushu. Kyushu doesnt get to appear in anime much and given that its where I live I feel it's my duty to care. By episode 3 I had discovered that it was Karatsu which is only 2 hours from me by train, so I'd been meaning to make a day trip and hope I was one of the first to do so. Unfortunately I don't get that honour now that its exploded in popularity and has surely now become a new pilgrimage place for fans....I'm still planning to take a day trip in february, though.
It's actually not the first time Karatsu has done an anime collab, they did an Osomatsu-san one earlier with limited edition Saga Prefecture goods and an Osomatsu-san bus... although I'm kinda lost on what the connection is. At least YOI makes sense.

A couple weeks ago my boyfriend heard on the radio that there's been a staggering increase of young women going to Saga prefecture specifically to eat Katsudon....
Hope they've got some left for you in February

Oh my God haha I thought Hasetsu was a real place! I wish they could've kept the original city's name because they're lowkey sponsoring it anyway, I want to visit there someday. Imagine the YOI merchs everywhere in that market area, and you'll randomly see a tiger sweatpants suit hanging around . I bet Sagaprise partnered with Mappa because they see a boost in their tourist numbers after YOI
I hope they'll build an ice rink there or a hotspring lol.
