Hmm, looks like the animation style didn't change much based on the visual. Can't wait to see Yunyun in season 2 :3

I still need to finish the first season, but I'm glad it's getting a second one. This show made me laugh harder than any other from recent memory, I just need to find the time to watch it.

Given the tone and humor of the series, those smiles in the first image seen so unnatural, lol

Nothing says starting the new year right like having a good laugh courtesy of KonoSuba

The first season was easily one of the funniest series of 2016, so this one of the Winter 2017 series I'm most looking forward to.

I think the late premiere (11) means that we will get only 10 episodes like before.

While Konosuba was an enjoyable watch, the poor visual quality and derpy character design was easily the worst part of the show.
And it somehow managed to look even worse for season 2.
Remembering the PV that was literally all recycled footage from season 1, I'm not holding out hope on the animation quality.
Hey guys, I'm not asking for KyoAni quality here, but can we get something that's more fitting for a show that sold 10k copies per disk? Don't tell me you're out of budget...

Bland? They looked pretty damn similar to the previous season, unless my eye is broken.
Poor animation? No budget? Well, I be damned. Ain't those the obvious factors that make the anime appealing in the first place? It's pretty suitable for a comedy such as this.

To be fair, I'm not a fan of the artwork either, but after watching the whole thing, I can honestly say it actually fits the comedy pretty well thanks to the exaggerated expressions. Director Takaomi Kanasaki is also capable at using bad animation as a pretext to improve the humor which is why it is laugh-worthy for most so I feel any artstyle can work in Konosuba so long as it still does pull off ridiculous over the topness that's all over the place, which is the thing. So I'm expecting the second season to looks like more of the same.
The people that actually complains about the key visual due to the studio in charge (Deen) is actually most likely pointed to the character designer (Koichi Kikuta) in my opinion. He is the one who take the show with his rigid and exagerrated artstyle that is obviously seen in episodes 1 and 9 and is a chief animation director in odd-numbered episodes. He has previously worked in Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Sword Art Online and Robotics;Notes for those who actually know about his portfolio.
