Damn Keijo!!!!!!!! sold badly, wasn't expecting a lot but to not even make the cut-off is incredibly disappointing. Can only hope the money coming in from streaming elsewhere will make up for it as I heard it is very popular in some western countries streaming. My copy should be arriving in the next week or so hopefully.
The manga doesn't seem to have had a noticeable boost either which is sad.
Fab to see Strike The Blood still selling strongly. Macross Δ dropping again is expected but still disappointing. Still good sales though and everything else for it seems to be a hit.

If it's true that Keijo didn't even make 1k BDs on the full Oricon list then that's a pretty abysmal sales failure, particularly if the manga also isn't seeing a noticeable rise in sales.
It may have the gold medal for approval of fanservice on ANN, but without a bland male lead or nudity, the otaku who buy fanservice shows don't care.
Also Love Live Sunshine with a pretty massive drop, vol 1 had 65k first week, vol 2 had 44k first week, and now vol 3 has 23k first week. It's no wonder that they scrambled to get another live event to prop up the tail end of the series.

Thats the power of event tickets with LLS well as i heard later on some volumes gonna have event tickets again so the sales will probably go up again

Awesome that Re:Zero is performing quite well!
Totally disheartening that Keijo didn't even make it in the last slot... Even MGL Nanoha Vivid seemed to be a hard sell with it taking the last slot...

For what i know it come out 2016/11/23 so should be in this week ranking.
Keijo!!!!!!!! is more a sports anime that a fanservice show, and sports anime don't have that big sales except when appeal to woman otaku fan base, what is not the case with Keijo.
If there are not a increase in manga sales i don't see another season come out because that is what is more important for the publisher.

Flops like that are common. Profit from sales is more important when it comes to sequels.

Another thing that sucks for "Keijo!!!!!!!!" fans is that it was a seriously hyped show but sales can't really back that hype up now.

Why is that pretty much every ecchi show that rolls with its stupid premise and tries to have fun flops while so many totally boring straightforward cliche ridden garbage fests have managed to sell bucketloads?
I mean sure Japan's interest in those shows isn't anywhere near as strong as it once was (Which was unfortunate for all the animation studios who tried cashing in on their popularity literally right after Japan stopped caring). But DxD BorN was probably the worst show I saw last year and it still managed pretty decent sales.

DxD is a wish fulfillment power fantasy where one guy has several beautiful girls at his beck and call. If Keijo had one guy (be it a coach, a masseur, the Keijo school head instructor's son, whatever) with all these beautiful women surrounding him then it would have sold much, much better than it did.
